Marketing Manager Job Opening

The Company:

TruNorth Solar is a rapidly growing Residential and Commercial Solar Installation and Service Company operating in Arden Hills, MN.  We are looking for a Marketing Manager who can “own” all elements of the Marketing Engine and leverage it to drive significant growth primarily through the generation of highly converting inbound customer leads.  

This full-time position will focus on managing marketing programs that drive acquisition, retention and engagement of prospects and existing customers. This position is responsible for planning, execution, management and analysis of all campaigns – both digital and traditional. The ideal candidate is self-driven, highly motivated, analytical and highly organized and can develop strategy, as well as execute on a tactical level. The ideal candidate would possess a keen eye for creative development and a natural ability to lead and project manage – and have ability to focus on specific tactics/channels with appreciation for and planning against how they fit into the overall customer journey. Focus areas will be on paid media channels (paid search, paid social, display, retargeting, etc.), the website, email campaigns, content, and Sales collateral, etc. – as needed.  Our current Marketing CRM system is HubSpot.  The ideal candidate will be a team player and appreciate and thrive in the supportive and team oriented TruNorth culture.


  • Executing programs/campaigns that drive highly performing customer leads for our sales consultants
  • Development and execution of marketing programs that competitively position the TruNorth brand by establishing and maintaining a consistent image, marketing communications, branding initiatives and targeted marketing activities.
  • Manage development of creative and content across our digital and print eco-system – paid social, display, retargeting, Sales Collateral.
  • Plan and execute all automated marketing programs via HubSpot to drive up conversion, engagement, referrals and cross sells
  • Execute, analyze and optimize basic media buys across Google Ads and Meta and ensure they hit CPL and CPA targets
  • Evaluate competitors and research new approaches that create best-in-class digital acquisition experiences for our prospects
  • Drive up our SEO results
  • Manage the annual Marketing budget
  • Management of website including basic HTML


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 4 years marketing experience required
  • Strong understanding of current digital marketing technologies and best practices 
  • At least three years of experience in a digital marketing, including basic media buying on Google and Meta
  • Strong project management, organization, and collaboration skills required
  • Strong understanding of performance analytics to drive creative optimizations and opportunities
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet and web applications
  • Must be proficient in Google Analytics, Google Ads Platform and Meta Ad Platform
  • Must have Hubspot (or very similar CRM) experience
  • Basic HTML and graphic design skills to make website updates

The Role:

  • Reporting to Marty Morud, CEO of TruNorth Solar
  • The role will require the candidate to be in the Arden Hills, MN office a minimum of 3 days per week and with flexible hours provided the work gets done.
