We had 26 panels installed by TruNorth on our roof in the fall of 2017. The installation went smoothly and there were no complications (unlike just about every other major house project we've done). In seven plus years the panels required zero maintenance of any kind -- they just sat quietly up there producing electricity. The first time they did was when some unrelated electrical work unexpectedly took the system offline. Within hours of me emailing them, the service team sent clear instructions on how to power cycle our inverter, and when I did that the system came back online right away. I'd highly recommend TruNorth for every aspect of your solar journey.

TruNorth installed a solar array on our South Minneapolis Duplex in 2019. I forgot to write a review then, but I was thrilled with the service.

With the benefit of time, I appreciate the install even more. They've answered the phone and my questions, even 5 years after my installation.

A special shout-out to Donna, TruNorth’s permissions manager, who worked tirelessly to navigate through some red tape from Xcel Energy, ensuring that the project stayed on schedule.

After some frustrating experiences with contractors in the past, it was such a relief to work with a company that made the entire process go so smoothly. TruNorth’s pricing was not only competitive but also honest, which I truly appreciate. After the installation, they even offered to schedule a meeting to help me understand my new electric bill, which was a thoughtful touch. I work in the energy industry and when it comes to residential rooftop solar, there are only a few companies I would trust. TruNorth is one of them. Marti did an excellent job and kept me updated on the process. Everyone on his team was professional, nice, and could not say enough good things about working for the company. The process from estimate to installation went way quicker than I expected, and I never had doubts about the status as I was constantly updated on timing. Two years after getting solar I got my first ev. I asked a question to Marti and he mentioend that he also installs ev chargers. Not only was Marti significantly cheaper than the other estimates, the job took less than 2 hours and his staff were once again friendly, fun to talk to, and professional. I cannot recomend them enough, and being in the renewable energy industry I have heard horror stories about scammers, poor workmanship, and other tragedies that harm the industries reptuation. I would not worry about that with TruNorth, they are the real deal.

Great business, they really listened. No high pressure sales pitch. They are one of the few companies that didn't try the "hard sell". I'm definitely having them install a system.
Design is complete, waiting for Xcel Energy to approve, then next step is ordering material, then install, can't wait.

TruNorth Solar installed a 12k solar system for us. The entire team, including James, Donna, Don, Ben, Steve, Tony, were all fantastic. They made the entire process relatively easy, and they adapted to what we were seeking. They were also quick to respond to requests. I would certainly use them again for any solar needs.

It took a couple of years to finally get the installation because the city of Saint Paul has ridiculous ordinances (imho) and I needed a structural assessment.
